Since I started “The Kind Bride” blog I’ve been very pleased to find out how many bridal options are available for the plant based bride. Most of vegan wedding gown options are based of polyester, which will make the environmentally conscious women’s eyes roll. But the collection we’ll be featuring today, will meet everyone’s favor. We’re happy to share the new eco-friendly and vegan “Entwined Love” Collection by sustainable luxury designer Sanyukta Shrestha. Leading high-end bridal designer brand with a conscience, the epitome of Sanyukta Shrestha’s collections is luxurious organic fair-trade fabrics fused with flattering shapes, elegance and individuality.
Sanyukta is keen to bring ethics into the luxury world, as she launches her 2019 collection as a tribute to her real brides. Entwined Love gave a whimsical take on romance in her past collection. The next piece in the puzzle is Entwined Love-Chapter 2; the collection for the modern bride, where Sanyukta Shrestha brides inspire subtle innovation.
House of Shrestha are dedicated to supporting the environment, using natural and sustainable materials. Using nature as her partner in bridal beauty, the organic, sustainable-sourced materials hug the female form, uniquely than other fabrics allow; giving all those who grace them a healthy glow and stunning refinement. Made from bamboo silk, hemp and organic cotton lace, Entwined Love – Chapter 2 celebrates the female body form as they are.
Sanyukta Shrestha brides, come from all walks in life. Some are eco fashion devotees desiring an animal friendly gown while others are marrying in a same-sex ceremony looking for an all-in-one to wow their congregation. It was their collective uniqueness and individuality that created Sanyukta Shrestha’s most innovative collection to date; taking their style and adapting to suit their own aesthetic and goals. It is the versatility of the collection that makes Entwined Love – Chapter 2 a bride’s dream collection. A vegan bride may fall in love with the silhouette of a hemp silk gown but opt for plant-based fabrics like 100% bamboo or 100% organic cotton, a conservative client marrying in a religious ceremony could be enticed by a strapless gown and add sleeves.
Entwined Love – Chapter 2 is about designing for real women, in real weddings, equally caring for the environmental aspect.
From window shoppers to the committed Sanyukta Shrestha brides, the creative juices of inspiration are flowing as soon as head designer meets the women who put forward their personality into creating a gown exclusive to themselves, ultimately embracing their uniqueness. Entwined Love – Chapter 2 is the ultimate nod to the extraordinary women whom Sanyukta shared their wedding journey with.
Entwined Love-Chapter 2 is priced from £1500-£4000 available in all sizes from 4-24.
Sanyukta Shrestha opens up about the work process with her brides: “With their own set of needs, hopes and insecurities for the wedding dress, we work together to dissolve their fears and heighten their attributes; resulting in the dream dress coming to life. Whether she wants to celebrate her waistline with a tulle skirt over trousers or maintain a minimalist aesthetic in a slinky gown underneath a ball gown silhouette, The Chapter 2, is for the fashion forward bride with a clear vision to showcase their individuality”.
‘Designed for You, Inspired by You’ is the mantra for this collection at the House of Shrestha. Not only are they the inspiration, Sanyukta Shrestha has paid the ultimate tribute to the many brides by immortalizing them, naming each design after a special bride: Sarah, Francesca, Jamie, Maddy, Chloe and Martha to name a few!
From spinning to the final stitches, the handmade gowns, each echo ethereal beauty, embodying the unique individuality of the client. From wide leg jumpsuits to off-the-shoulder fishtail gowns, the romanticism flowing through the collection is a celebration of femininity yet independence. Creative Director and Founder Sanyukta Shrestha, working in-house and playing an active role in the bride’s journey to the finished dress, is dedicated to solving the insecurities and issues of woman who wears her namesake. There is no single design that matches in the collection as designer describes that her each design has personality and individuality more than only design elements. The bridal consultations with the Sanyukta Shrestha team are a therapeutic awakening for both, bride and designer. After seventeen years at the job, Shrestha can tell what a bride wants, from their natural charisma, sometimes even before she speaks. The consultation session, with nurturing attention, brings your ideas to life yet magnifies your expectations through the luxury service.
Honored with several national and international awards for graceful creations and innovative approach of empowering women in developing countries, one of the designer’s bridal creations is preserved in The Fashion Museum, Bath. A graduate at the London College of Fashion, Sanyutka is well positioned in exclusive bridal boutiques in England and Netherlands and has her own flagship store ‘Behuli by Sanyukta Shrestha’ in Fulham London.

A feminist and independent spirit since she could remember (her childhood heroines were Pippi Longstockings and Katharine Hepburn) Daniela Degrassi found her creative outlet as a lifestyle photographer, working mainly in Northern California where she lived for 15 years before moving back to her native Italy to continue to be her autistic sister’s primary caregiver. Vegan since 2014, she found a perfect way to carry her message of compassion while celebrating her love for the wedding industry launching The Kind Bride in February 2018.
