Are you planning your Vegan Honeymoon? I am sure it must a struggle to find places that may be vegan friendly, but in the end, offer options that may not be too exciting. You may fancy a bit more glamour then biting on a salad while you are on the vacation of a lifetime, right?

Fear not, here are 5 of the best  hotels and resorts around the world that are fully equipped for vegan guests, including a vegan restaurant in-house! Yes, you heard it right, a complete vegan menu to choose from, in a perfectly harmonious cruelty-free ambience. Just be prepared…You may never wanna leave these places!

This one, honeymoon or not, I am definitely gonna visit next time I am in California. Mendocino is a paradise in itself with its breath-taking coastal view, a splendid Botanical Garden to stroll in, and an enchanting downtown bonanza of antiques and local artisan boutiques to visit.

In this already peaceful environment, Joan and Jeff Stanford set foot in 1980 and gifted us with the The Stanford Inn, a fully vegan Eco Resort overlooking the Pacific Ocean. While you can fully relax in this green paradise, including a massage or two at their Wellness Center, you can enjoy lots entertaining activities like hiking, biking and canoeing, but don’t forget to catch the sunset before dinner, it doesn’t get more romantic then this!

Growing their own organic vegetables, The Stanford Inn provides excellent meal services for their guests. Their in-house restaurant The Ravens has got you covered from breakfast to dinner, with their exquisite and healthy food, sustainable ethically and environmentally.

Oh, and of course, pets are welcome! Please visit The Stanford Inn website, I really enjoyed Joan and Jeff welcoming video. I just can’t wait to visit!

If you’re dreaming of something more exotic, here’s Puri Ganesha villas by the beach, in beautiful Bali.

Puri Ganesha does not pretend to be one of the newest, trendiest resorts on the island, but this tiny, elegant resort has aged gracefully and is regarded to be a happy, peaceful place where to restore your equilibrium after the fatigue of wedding planning or life stress in general  and simply feel nurtured and looked after by the owners as you’d be their only houseguests. Nurtured you will be, indeed, since their food philosophy has Ayurvedic roots, offering raw vegan food using purely local produce with Southeast-Asian flavors – or a balanced combination of 60% raw to 40% carefully cooked vegan or vegetarian dishes, giving both seasoned ‘raw foodies’ and absolute newcomers the chance to enjoy this purely vegan way of life in a peaceful, relaxing, laid-back luxury environment.

Plenty of privacy too, as the Puri Ganesha provides individual  beachfront villas for your stay, decorated with antiques and beautiful fabrics from all over Indonesia, spacious garden bathrooms and cool terracotta floors. The master bedrooms have amazing sea views so you may not even have to leave your room to see the sunset!

On their website, you can also enjoy a full menu dedicated to the local activities. You don’t wanna miss all the plentitude of sightseeing in Bali!

If you set your heart on finally visiting Italy on your Honeymoon, your vegan resort destination is definitely Agroturismo Coroncina. Set in the region of Marche, which holds the same charming atmosphere as its more famous bordering region of Umbria, Coroncina is located in the province of Macerata, in the centre of the Marche region, between the Adriatic Sea and the Sibillini Mountains. From the beaches you climb in less than an hour to the mountains of the Umbrian/Marchigiano Appennines in an “infinite” series of ups and downs. After all this activity, you can enjoy the nurturing vegan cuisine produced with their own high-quality organic products, their spacious flora and fauna territory, and Wellness Center.

While Marche has wonderful locations to visit like Ascoli Piceno, Macerata, San Severino and many others, you’re also 90 minutes away from Assisi or Gubbio in Umbria, and about 3 hours away from Rome or Tuscany.

Coroncina is closed during winter, but you can check their website for Spring, Summer and Autumn accommodations.

As a yoga fanatic, this place got me at hello! Let alone, it’s set in the most mystical lands of all, India.

YogaMagic Eco Retreat is an oasis of peace just two kilometers from the golden beaches of North Goa. A quiet resort of swaying palm trees surrounded by a water creek and paddy fields abundant with tropical birdlife.

This is the place to unwind, meditate, practice yoga from beginners to advanced in a tropical coconut grove and gardens with swimming pool, island waterfalls and lotus ponds.

YogaMagic luxurious tented eco-lodges feature solar halogen lighting, natural composting toilets and waste management using EM (effective micro organisms). The hot showers get their heat directly from the sun and where possible buildings are constructed from locally sustainable materials such as mud, clay, stone, bamboo, jute, wood, palm leaves and cow dung.

And get ready for a gastronomic journey around India: delicious organic wholesome plant based vegetarian – vegan food – gluten free menus.  Homegrown or sourced locally all lovingly created and bursting with flavor, from organic gardens producing spices, salads, vegetables, herbs and fruits inspired by ancient Ayurvedic principles and modern permaculture ideas.

I’m already relaxed, aren’t you? Visit YogaMagic website for more details.

Perhaps I need to say no more to entice you, but to be fair I want to add all the wonderful benefits of vacationing at the Waterfall Villas, an eco-retreat committed to rainforest preservation. Fully sustainable, the resort offers nature and adventure tours, while beaches and national parks are at walking distance. Yoga and Medicinal Plant Workshops are also available.
