One of the things I cherished the most about hosting the world’s first vegan bridal fair this past September was witnessing how our vendors came together as a community. Professional connections have been made during the The Luxe and Kind Bridal Boutique and  inspired a few new collaborations. The collective effort we are featuring today originated from a conversation I had with Belinda Lau, founder of Opus Events Co, a full-service planning company focused on sustainable weddings & events (learn more on Opus Events Co from my interview with Belinda this past summer). Belinda was the creative director of this Golden Hour Bridal Styled Shoot in Pasadena.

“We believe that today’s unions can be more reflective of our times and lives, and we strive for events that are thoughtful and responsible without sacrificing style or the guests’ experience.  We treat each of our productions as a work of art, imagined and executed by a team of creatives to reflect a celebration full of individuality.” – Belinda Lau

Model Angel Burke wore the stunning Stella dress. The Stella is a Made With Love x Lovely Bride exclusive.  We love Stella’s unique lace detail and plunging neckline on a semi-sheer bodice.  This wedding dress is perfect for a bride who is looking for a head-turning sexy silhouette.  100% Stretch Crepe & French Lace.

Lovely Bride celebrates body positivity and self-love. They work hard to choose innovative wedding dress designs in an inclusive size range. They believe in transparency, empowerment, and women supporting women.

Angel is also holding tight to the new Veerah Venus sandals, previously premiered on The Kind Bride. Veerah is one of our favorite vegan shoe brands, redefining designer footwear to be conscientious, cruelty-free and oh, so stylish!

And now, drum roll for The Groomsman Suit new woman’s tuxedo! The Chicago based company is the first wedding wear brand to offer a coordinated wedding suit collection for men, women and children. For the first time, women have an alternative to a wedding or bridesmaid dress. The Groomsman Suit’s collection is capable of suiting all members of your wedding party. No matter what size. No matter what gender. No matter your style. They’ve got a suit for you! The Women’s white tuxedo jacket and pants are made of 95% Polyester and 5% spandex. Totally love its feminine lines!

Model Alexandria Rubiano is wearing Katabanko earrings we recently showcased on The Kind Bride. Made from recycled materials, Katabanko stand out accessories are Fair Trade and produced in USA. Featured in the shoot: Niko silver bobbies, Little wing studs, and Lilith quartz earrings.

Fibers and Florals created the botanically inspired bouquet and hair comb focused on the blending of fresh and dried mushrooms with textual culinary herbs to add interest.

Fibers & florals is a floral design studio that provides flowers for events & weddings, botanical styled shoots, weekly restaurant & office subscriptions, and personal flower deliveries in Los Angeles, California and beyond. Their primary focus is on working collaboratively with their clients, from initial concept, to selection of foliage & florals, through execution, to ensure their unique vision comes to life. They create floral works that enhance private spaces while reflecting our sustainable and environmentally friendly values. These moral codes are reflected in their materials, as they source foliage & florals that are sustainable, seasonal, and locally grown.

The soft natural make up from Rebecca Casciano completed the looks. Rebecca is a Clean Beauty Makeup Artist, Sacred Beauty Coach and Founder of The Sacred Beauty Movement. Rebecca’s mission is to empower women to discover their authentic beauty, so they can radiate with a confidence that benefits all aspects of their lives. Since 2000, Rebecca’s work as a makeup artist in bridal, fashion and entertainment has paralleled her personal wellness journey, deeply influencing her approach to beauty.

The Golden Hour Bridal Styled Shoot was captured by Shane F King, a portrait photographer in Los Angeles.  His work is known for dramatic use of shadows and intimate view of his subjects.

An incurable enthusiast and independent spirit since she could remember (her childhood heroines were Pippi Longstockings and Katharine Hepburn) Daniela Degrassi found her creative outlet as a lifestyle photographer, working mainly in Northern California. Currently splitting her time between SF Bay Area and her native Italy to continue to be her autistic sister’s primary caregiver. Vegan since 2014, she found a perfect way to carry her message of compassion while celebrating her love for the wedding industry launching The Kind Bride in February 2018.
