The Green House is a beautifully restored, 32-room Grade II Victorian villa in the heart of Bournemouth, perfectly nested between Dorset’s finest blue-flag golden beaches and the ancient mysteries of the New Forest. It was reopened in April 2010 after a painstaking 18-month refurbishment during which the environmental impact of every single decision was considered. From then on the Green House has climbed the charts of many publications, sitting among the Top 50 wedding venues in the UK according to the Independent, who described the Green House as a “stunning eco-chic building” the perfect location for low-impact nuptials, along with many other awards and recognitions.

The Green House is now also leading the way in vegan hospitality. Not content with a substantial á la carte vegan menu, the Victorian villa is now offering the first ever Vegan Wedding Package.

The luxury wedding venue has become increasingly popular with vegans due to its ethical sourcing and commitments to sustainability along with its extensive source of vegan suppliers. General Manager of the hotel, Olivia O’Sullivan explains: “We’d noticed such an increase in vegan weddings and had become so well-known among our vegan suppliers that we decided to create this Vegan Wedding Package.”

The new Vegan Wedding Package at the Green house Hotel will be catered for by Head Chef, Andy Hilton, in the hotels two-rosette award winning restaurant, Arbor.  Andy lovingly creates a menu especially for your day based around the time of year and what’s in season. Seasonal produce is sourced locally, and everything is freshly prepared, even the bread is baked on site. The vegan wedding cakes are supplied by Lucie Loves to Bake (who just joined our Vegan Wedding Directory!) which specializes in creating luxury bespoke dairy free, eggless and vegan wedding cakes.

For the best hair and make-up on the big day, the hotel works with Greener Beauty which helps you find vegan friendly, cruelty free and toxic chemical free beauticians, hairdressers and much more in the area.

Victoria Wood, Founder of Greener Beauty, commented: “In this modern age no one wants to harm animals, and with the rise of veganism it can be challenging to find vegan friendly make up. This is why we set up Greener Beauty; to give people one central place to find everything they needed from vegan-friendly treatments to vegan-friendly products.”

The Vegan Wedding Package even covers footwear through its collaboration with designer Charlotte Mills whose vegan shoe collection gives ethical, stylish, fashion forward brides a range to chose from, including the popular ‘Meghan Shoe’.

͛With up to 90% of cut flowers being imported into the UK, the Green House Hotel prides itself on sourcing organic, Fair Trade, UK blooms for weddings which come from Bournemouth-based florist, Hillview Flowers and Events. Danielle Street, owner of Hillview Flowers and Events commented: “We’ve been working with the Green House for many years now and always respect the brand’s strong ethics when it comes to sustainability and responsible sourcing. Creating bridal arrangements and bouquets are our speciality and we love working with couples to accessorize their special day with incredible flowers.

The Green House Hotel Manager Olivia added: “We hope to offer the very best in luxury for our vegan wedding parties, our dedicated team of personal wedding planners are on hand every step of the way to ensure your day is perfect. The team happily assist with everything from wedding stationery, dresses and flowers to chauffeurs, photographers and entertainment with everyone absolutely committed to bringing wedding dreams to life.”
