Luna Bride founder Keely Brightmore likes to describe herself as a healthy nut with an addiction for juicing, yoga and meditation. Her passion for a natural and simple lifestyle clearly reflects on her work as a designer. Luna Bride comes alive in beautiful ethical handmade wedding dresses for the modern bride. In only a two year time Keely has built a great worldwide following, designing and creating beautiful gowns at her studio in Harrogate, UK.

Using luxurious natural and organic materials and stylish design, the Luna look combines elegance with comfort, opulence with simplicity, and tradition with fashion. Gorgeous fabrics are personally selected from world-loving sources that ensures a conscious-free mind and an awe-inspiring body. With a romantic heart in classic sophistication and an expert eye on feminine fun, the Luna collection dances with magic and mystery as the Luna bride sparkles with individuality and independence.

Keely recently attended London’s One Fine Day Bridal Market to launch her new Spring Collection and I was quite thrilled to receive pictures of her latest beautiful vegan friendly creations in my inbox, with her note:

“Our new collection is inspired by nature, purity and positivity. Gorgeous fabrics have been personally selected from sustainable sources, which are handmade by UK seamstresses into a beautiful range of gowns. Every design is adorned in completely natural materials, including pretty floral lace, floaty delicate chiffon, pure pearl buttons and organic peace silk. We listened to our brides about the styles and cuts they love, using their influence to create flattering silhouettes of fit and flare skirts, long sleeves, sheer back and bardot necklines.”

From their bestselling Beach dress, to the stunning Seline two-piece, the Luna collection dances with magic and mystery, as the Luna bride sparkles with individuality.

Minimal, sophisticated and feminine, this beautiful gown is delightful. Featuring floaty flutter sleeves, a v shaped neckline and back with a gorgeous draped fit.

All Luna Bride dresses are handmade to order in Keely’s workshop in Harrogate, UK. The Flutter wedding dress can be made either using organic peace silk or vegan recycled crepe.

The Luna Beach wedding dress is a true Goddess dress, delicate, floaty, feminine and free. With a lovely fitted Chantilly lace top and sumptuous organic peace silk (or viscose chiffon if your prefer) floaty skirt. Featuring a stunning low v back with beautiful scalloped Chantilly lace detailing creating a sensual and romantic feel. Perfect for a bohemian bride who wants to look beautiful as well as feeling good about how her dress was made.

After the success of the crochet Daisy bridal cape Luna Bride follows with two thick cotton crochet short gowns, Daisy and Sweetheart. Ultra soft and comfortable these dress are ideal for an intimate, less formal ceremony but still keeping the romance very much alive.

Feel like a princess on your special day in the simple yet luxurious Bardot dress. Fully lined in gorgeous bamboo silk, the delightful design provides the ultimate in traditional sophistication and modern comfort. With sultry off-the-shoulder straps, a playful sweetheart neckline and a pretty fitted waist, the fit is flattering and feminine for you to float elegantly down the aisle.

Since the time Luna Bride debuted its famous LOLITA dress, two-pieces are among my favorite bridal designs making them easily re-wearable. Imagine pairing these lovely delicate tops with your favorite jeans for a summer party!

With ethics strongly rooted in her business, Keely goes through a lot of research to find the best fabric producers. Among her favorite fabrics are vegan friendly bamboo silk, viscose, english lace, organic cotton lace as well as recycled fabrics and end of line fabrics (making sure to recycle any remaining cuts to make lingerie!). She also uses Organic GOTS Peace Silk which does not harm the moth that made it. For vegans that are not comfortable wearing peace silk, Keely suggests switching it with viscose.

One great aspect of making gowns to order is that they can be customized to your needs and taste (a section of her website is dedicated to design your own gown). The Rose gown for example, can be created with a dramatic low back or covered up in lace for winter brides.

Keely welcomes you to visit her at her UK studio, but know that Luna Bride is available for shipping worldwide. For any questions,  Keely will be more than happy to assist you.  Drop her an email at
