Whether you’re sensitive about the ‘zero waste’ wedding philosophy or not, you’ll agree with me that your bridesmaids deserve to wear frocks they can use again.. and again! Let’s admit it, mainstream wedding shops offer such classic styles! Beautiful yet outdated they are hard to wear at other events, as they pertain that ‘wedding attire’ label. If you and your bridesmaids are looking for modern and easy wear to enjoy after the wedding, here are 6 styles from Free People that will make the cut!

The classic one-shoulder is revisited with a more relaxed wear and hip pockets (yes!). The Soa Dress fits any body type, and it’s an easy slip on even for expecting bridesmaids! It’s available in Pink, Black and Eggnog shades and the fabric content is a mix of Cotton, Cupro and Lyocell.

The modern romantic bridesmaid will love the dreamy silky vintage-inspired Laced Slip Dress. Made of a mix of Modal and Cotton, this frock is only available in this Raspberry shade.

Featured in a halter neck style and slim silhouette with a plunging neckline and flattering center seam, the Lisa Sweater Mini Dress is a versatile dress that effortlessly transitions from day to night. Available in Honey Tea (quite a close call to Pantone Color of the Year ‘Illuminating’) or in a stunning Black Sapphire shade. The fabric content is a mix of Cotton, Viscose, Polyamide, Elastane.

For the wanna-be-hip bridesmaid, the Tamarama Maxi Jumpsuit is IT! Featuring a high neckline with front knot detail and wide-leg silhouette with drapey exaggerated pleating for added shape. Urban AND beachy, don’t  you think?! Only available in black, the jumpsuit is made of Viscose and Elastane.

This is a head turner for sure! Silky fabric (thankfully it’s just made of Viscose!) with cowl neckline and strappy back detail for added dimension. The Laced Back Maxi Dress is available in a hypnotizing Olive shade and a beautiful Cream tone that any minimalist bride would be happy to wear too!

Go from sweet to sultry with the Dani Convertible One Piece featured in a soft, stretch fabrication and wide-leg silhouette for effortless style! So many different wears in one dress…oops, jumpsuit! Available in a variety of colors this frock is made of Rayon and Elastane.
