Bridal lingerie is not often covered on wedding blogs but here at The Kind Bride, we love giving attention to this more intimate aspect of a bride’s special day. And the more enthusiast we get when we encounter brands that not only celebrate the female sensuality, but also show their mindfulness with their eco conscious practices.

Studio Pia is no stranger to our blog, we have featured their first bridal collection last year and today, we are so happy to share a sneak peek of their upcoming Spring Summer 2020 ‘Aphrodite’ Collection!

Studio Pia’s SS20 collection draws inspiration from the Greek deity, Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, passion and procreation. Aphrodite is said to have been born off the coast of Cyprus, inspiring sea-themed embroideries and pearl accents, whilst paintings (such as ‘Pygmalion et Galatée’ by Anne-Louis Girodet) informed the whimsical color palette. A collection sure to inspire amorous feelings!

“My vision was to design a collection of creative, investment pieces, which challenge preconceptions about ethical fashion aesthetics, and provide my customer with timeless luxury she can feel good about showing off.” says Pia.

The Naida range features a bespoke coral embroidery trimmed with the brand’s signature cruelty-free silk satin in rich Gold. Pieces in the range include a multiway basque which can be paired with the matching strap thong or waist strap knicker, or worn alone with the harness straps as an ouvert. Three bra options; a plunge bra, soft cup bralette and balconette bra, seamlessly pair with the strap thong, waist strap knicker and multiway harness suspender.

The Clea range returns for a fourth season in Jet Black and seasonal Coral Pink. Perfect for an alternative, kink inspired Valentine’s look, the range features a strappy open cage bra, a soft cup bralette, multiway harness suspender, strap thong, strap knicker and collar. Each piece is silk lined and complemented with 24k gold plated hardware.

The Greta range, Studio Pia’s first vegan accessories range, is ethically crafted in Britain from Pinatex; an innovative natural textile made from Pineapple leaf fibers that is sustainably sourced, cruelty-free and has a low environmental footprint. The range features a harness, collar, cuffs and nipple pasties, all finished with Swarovski pearls and 24k gold plated hardware. The collection seamlessly integrates with the Naida and Clea ranges, and translates beyond the bedroom into ready-to-wear.

Collections are designed to mix-and-match, and sets range from around £275-£675 RRP. Accessories come in either one or two sizes making Studio Pia pieces ideal for gifting, with prices starting from £35 RRP and will be available from mid-January.

Studio Pia is also preparing to launch her first luxury peace silk shape-wear range, inspired by the silk bodysuit that the designer and founder, Pia, created to wear on her wedding day. She designed it to be structured, supportive, cinching, and above all beautiful. It was paired with a full-length skirt, showing off the distinctive strapping detail through the back.

The bodysuit PETRA has been developed into a range of mix-and-match pieces, exquisitely crafted with a seamless appearance from the finest organic peace silk satin, both inside and out, and finished with 24k gold plated hardware. The range features multifunctional elements and adjustability throughout, for a truly personalized fit.

The entirely stretch peace silk range consists of two bras; a padded longline and a soft cup bralette. A bodysuit, longline suspender and a variety of bottom options. Choose between striking statement with the longline bra, or classic comfort with the bralette. Style either under a blazer for a contemporary lingerie-as-outerwear look. The bodysuit, with its smoothing, waist-cinching capabilities, can be worn as a foundation garment or as the star of the show with a skirt or wide-leg trousers. It offers a waist reduction of up to 3 inches. Bottoms include a strappy thong, a knicker featuring a seamless doubled silk back, and a tummy-control waist thong and suspender with a cinching waistband and stretch sides for a smooth silhouette.

Both bra styles and the bodysuit features shoulder straps that can be worn straight or crossed. The collection ranges from around £275-£600 RRP and will be available from mid-February.

But if you can’t wait that long, browse through the current collections, the Clea seen above in coral is now available in a delicate ivory, although Studio Pia lingerie comes in many beautiful intense color options!
