A few weeks ago, I received an email from a New York bride who wanted to share a few vegan food catering services she has used (and loved!) for her wedding celebrations and beyond. Since most of them were off The Kind Bride radar, I thought I’d properly thank bride Laura and introduce them all to our readers.

 

VEGAN TREATS – Bethlehem, PA

Although located in Pennsylvania, Vegan Treats is also serving the New York area. As an ethical vegan, founder Danielle Konya set out to make a vegan cake that didn’t just taste good, but actually tasted better than any other cake, vegan or otherwise. And she succeeded. For the last twenty years, her desserts have won the hearts of pretty much everyone with functioning taste buds. RED FERN – Rochester, NY

The Red Fern is a 100% vegan restaurant, bakery and catering company. They offer gluten-free & allergy-friendly options. Menu offerings include entrees, sandwiches, salads, snacks, specials, fresh juice, smoothies, house-baked pastries, kombucha on tap, beer & wine. The majority of their food is made from scratch, using locally-sourced or organic ingredients when possible. They bake all pastries in-house daily. Their regular catering menu is available online

Laura says about them: “They made all of our delicious vegan and GF wedding desserts and were fantastic to work with.”

 

BIRCH BARK EATERY – Glens Falls, NY

Birch Bark Eatery is an all-vegan restaurant and catering company offering casual American fare to the Adirondack region of Upstate New York. Owner Tania Sharlow has 15 years of experience in the food industry as a crew member-turned-manager at Dunkin Donuts. She had the idea to open up her own vegan eatery after four years of transitioning into a completely plant-based diet. Lacking a variety of satisfactory meat substitutes, she decided to make her own. The restaurant signature item is the Reuben, starring their in-house made seitan. “Yummy food and baked goods” according to Laura.

 

THE CAKERINO BAKE SHOP – Rensselaer, NY

The Cakerino bakery specializes in vegan and vegan/gluten free custom cakes and treats. Storefront is located at 63A Washington Ave in  Rensselaer. “Totally delicious” is Laura’s verdict!

 

PAPA GANACHE – Matawan, NJ  

Papa Ganache is a small batch vegan bakery offering amazingly delicious vegan and gluten-free sweet and savory treats. Their products are heart-healthy, cholesterol-free, no trans fat, no hydrogenated oil, no high fructose corn syrup, dairy-free, egg-free, all-natural, no preservatives, no animal products, and mostly organic.

“In my opinion” says Laura “best vegan and GF baked goods in NJ.”
