The DC area offers many wonderful options for your vegan and/or eco-ethical wedding. I am glad to share about my experience getting to know the Atrium at Meadowlark in Vienna, VA last year. With my full heart, I am eager to recommend that couples check out the Atrium for their wedding. Three reasons stick out to me in particular.
Bettina Theilacker is the Events Coordinator for the Atrium at Meadowlark. She was a joy to work with and welcomed me with a win-win partnership when we did a Vegan Styled shoot there last June also featured on The Kind Bride. Bettina hails to the DC area with years of experience in the wedding industry and it shows. Despite how busy things were, Bettina always communicated with us in a timely manner. She genuinely welcomed us to the space and I knew I was right at home.
All the Earthy Vibes
The Atrium at Meadowlark is an extensive property and historically preserved botanical garden. It is beautifully manicured year round. No matter what time of year you are planning your wedding, the landscape will be stunning. As a photographer, I have to say this is a huge selling point because your wedding day images will be stunning – even if you wed in the thick of winter. Likewise, the Atrium boosts wall to wall glass which allows gorgeous light to pour into the facility. Do you fear rain on your wedding day? It’s no problem at the Atrium. The glass structure welcomes the world and light into your ceremony (and photos!). Freezing cold? No Problem. You’ll be cozy inside the Atrium! Snow in the forecast? Extreme situation I know – but you and your party will be warm and dry inside the Atrium! No other venue that I know of offers such possibilities no matter the season and weather. Further, the Atrium preserves areas of wildlife and botanicals that are historically indigenous to the area. And one added perk – the use of natural lighting reduces the wedding’s carbon footprint as one more added benefit of an eco-ethical wedding.
For couples planning an eco-ethical and/or vegan wedding, it is great to know that the Atrium at Meadowlark offers a full vegan menu. They also make sure that couples have a chance to do a taste testing well in advance of one’s wedding. Couples will benefit from the no-stress in house vegan-friendly catering services.
Gratitude on the Heels of Spring
As I sit and type this blog this morning, I am grateful for the birds singing their songs, reminding me that spring is around the corner! Spring always makes me eager to nail down all the details for my busy wedding season. This year I am grateful for the chance to work with and recommend the Atrium for any of my clients who are looking for a terrific wedding venue. Couples will be in good hands (Thanks, Bettina!), love the earthy vibes, and have a full vegan menu at the Atrium; that is a win-win for all parties involved!
